Why do we need to make the acoustic design?

Our perception of world origins from a variety of feelings: sight, hearing, smell, and taste. This is the most basic feeling we have. Today, we will talk about hearing. It is precisely because of hearing that people have requirements and pursuits of hearing and have acoustic research. The acoustic industry has become an indispensable sunrise industry today.

Studies have shown that the frequency of sensitivity to people is 100-3,150 Hz, which means that we are more sensitive to the sound of the ambient audio frequency in the range of 100-3,150 Hz.

The source of the sound is vibration, and the vibration has a frequency, that is, the number of vibrations per second, in Hertz, referred to as Hertz (symbol Hz). Humans cannot accept all frequencies of sound but have a certain range. The auditory characteristics of the normal human indicate that only the sound with a vibration frequency of 20 Hz-20,000 Hz can be heard by our ears. The sound of 20 Hz is called the hearing threshold or the threshold of the human ear. The sound produced by the vibration frequency above 20 Hz is called the infrasound.

The feeling caused by the sound frequency of 20,000 Hz is called the pain threshold for humans, indicating that the range of this sound will have an impact on our normal hearing health and life. The sound generated by the vibration frequency above 20,000 Hz is called ultrasound. For vibrations below 20 Hz or above 20,000 Hz, there is no sound in the human’s ears. In architectural acoustics, frequencies of 200-300 Hz and below are generally claimed to be low-frequency sounds, 500-1000 Hz are claimed to be intermediate-frequency sounds, and 2000-4000 Hz and above are claimed as high-frequency sounds.

In the wide frequency band of 20-20,000 Hz, we can see that the sound is closely related to our life. If we do not make a special acoustic treatment, our ears, hearing, health and life will be affected by the noise around us.
